This home is located in central Bend in a a modest working class neighborhood with unique homes spanning from the 1930's to modern builds. It has a friendly local vibe.

Guest Access

The entire home and property is available to the guest with the exception of one interior locked storage closet.

We pride ourselves on the details and want you to have a healthy and refreshing stay at this charming historical (but fully renovated) mill house.. You will love the decor and cleanliness in this home, which we personally own and manage. Enjoy the large front yard planted with High Desert natives. The home is located just 2 blocks north of the newly renovated Wilson avenue, which leads directly into the Old Mill district, where everyone can find something to enjoy, including the Amphitheater. Unwind after a day of adventuring in a custom built Finnish-style sauna, which will get as hot as you want! Relax knowing this is a low-allergen space, as we do expressly do not allow dogs and do not use fragranced cleaning products, because we believe a clean home shouldn't need them. One of our most popular amenities is our Welcome Binder, which has a *lot more* than "the usual" information on Wifi, temperature control etc. (but it has that, too!). We carefully update this binder frequently to keep it up to date with our hand-picked favorites: things to do, places to eat, hiking/biking/skiing etc. We hope you enjoy using that as much as we enjoy keeping it up to date. Lastly - the sauna: this is a handmade and very carefully constructed Finnish style sauna. This is not one of those cute infrared "wanna-be" saunas - it is the real deal. Lined with 100% Japanese Sugi cedar and boasting an 8,000 watt electric heater, you'll love the way you feel after a session!

Other Details to Note

There is a small home being built directly next-door (to the north, the "left side" as facing from the street) to the house. As of April 2026, the majority of the exterior work is complete, including roofing, siding, painting and windows. We are collaborating with the neighbor on a fence to give everyone privacy, and you may see signs of that fence being built. Any kind of work done on our property will be cleared with you before it occurs. Please note that the second bed is a sofa-bed. It is a very high quality bed and we have slept on it quite comfortably ourselves, but it is "just a sofabed". High quality linens, blankets and pillows are provided. Trip insurance recommended if illness, weather or smoke may be an issue. Note that dogs are not allowed, including Emotional Support Animals, which are not recognized as service animals in the state of Oregon. If you are bringing a service animal, we would appreciate if you would describe what duties or work it has been trained to perform, and if it is required because of a disability.
