Accessibility

Neighborhood

A mixed urban downtown setting with traditional historical homes converted to businesses. This is truly right downtown --you are 1.5 blocks from a hip coffee shop, 75 feet from beer-on-tap, and a 7 minute walk to the iconic Drake Park. In the evening there is often live music or DJs just across the alley at the Bunk and Brew (most people love it!). Please be aware it can be noisy in the backyard or bedroom but should be wrapped up by 10pm.

Guest Access

The entire house is accessible to guests, with two exceptions: the garage and the loft. The laundry is in the closet, in the front room.

Good to know

An inviting home with lovely light, attention to detail, character and historic charm.

Other Details to Note

Live music can be heard from the historic Lucas House next door and can vary from acoustic guitar to rock and karaoke. The music should be wrapped up at 10 pm but often goes a bit late. Note that this is an urban setting and comes with urban sounds. It is also close to the parkway (which is actually very convenient!) Wildfire smoke is a significant risk in the mid-summer to late fall in the PNW, especially east of the Cascades. Please note that both Airbnb (and by extension, us as hosts) can not predict or control the weather or the smoke, and neither of these are considered grounds for exceptions to the refund policy. If you want a more flexible cancellation policy due to air quality/smoke, we recommend purchasing travel insurance through Airbnb, which is offered to you during the booking process. If your time in Bend is impacted by smoke, we are happy to help you make the best of it—there are often times of day or parts of the surrounding area that are far less smoky than others. We live here and understand the challenge.

Another great stay - this was the second time we've stayed at this AirBnB this year and it was just as good the second time. Walkable to the main areas in downtown Bend. Would (and probably will) stay here again.
