Accessibility

Neighborhood

A mixed urban downtown setting with traditional historical homes converted to businesses. This is truly right downtown --you are 1.5 blocks from a hip coffee shop, 75 feet from beer-on-tap, and a 7 minute walk to the iconic Drake Park. In the evening there is often live music or DJs just across the alley at the Bunk and Brew (most people love it!). Please be aware it can be noisy in the backyard or bedroom but should be wrapped up by 10pm.

Guest Access

The entire house is accessible to guests, with two exceptions: the garage and the loft. The laundry is in the closet, in the front room.

Good to know

An inviting home with lovely light, attention to detail, character and historic charm.

Other Details to Note

Live music can sometimes be heard from the historic Lucas House across the alley. The music should be wrapped up at 10 pm but sometimes goes a bit late. We have a good relationship with the venue and are happy to help if they need a reminder about the 10 PM noise ordinance. Note that this is an urban setting and comes with urban sounds. It is also close to the parkway (which is actually very convenient!) Wildfire smoke is a significant risk in the mid-summer to late fall in the PNW, especially east of the Cascades. Please note that both Airbnb (and by extension, us as hosts) can not predict or control the weather or the smoke, and neither of these are considered grounds for exceptions to the refund policy. If you want a more flexible cancellation policy due to air quality/smoke, we recommend purchasing travel insurance through Airbnb, which is offered to you during the booking process. If your time in Bend is impacted by smoke, we are happy to help you make the best of it—there are often times of day or parts of the surrounding area that are far less smoky than others. We live here and understand the challenge. Note that dogs are not allowed, including Emotional Support Animals, which are not recognized as service animals in the state of Oregon. If you are bringing a service animal, we would appreciate if you would describe what duties or work it has been trained to perform, and if it is required because of a disability.

No joke, this is one of my favorite airbnbs ever. Sure, it’s not some crazy fancy place to post on the gram (even though you could, it’s got great art) but it’s so perfect for a couple or small family that wants to enjoy bend from a downtown homebase. We will 100% be back. We traveled with a 6 month old and the place was perfect for her. Spotless, well decorated, bright, and super functional. The hosts were also incredible. Super proactive and helpful. They offered to have us early and set up the pac and play for the baby. Srsly. We had an amazing time and will be returning. Ps - catch a quick run up to pilot butte! Impossible to beat from leaving from your front door

We took a girls night and came to Bend. Right when we walked in we were pleasantly surprised by how big the house is, the pictures don’t do it justice! We also hadn’t realized how central the house is, we walked everywhere and had so much fun at the tavern down the street. 10/10 will be staying here again!

This was an awesome stay - we would have rated it more than 5 stars if we could. Ryan and Katie’s place was sparkling clean everywhere which really impressed us. It felt even cleaner than many great vacation rentals we have stayed before. The host also put many thoughtful touches. We were surprised to find charging cables in the living room which is very convenient. Ryan and Katie are very proactive in communications and friendly. The backyard is spacious, clean and nice. The neighborhood is also very walkable and feels comfortable. We would love to come back for another stay in our future visit to Bend.
