Accessibility

Neighborhood

A mixed urban downtown setting with traditional historical homes converted to businesses. This is truly right downtown --you are 1.5 blocks from a hip coffee shop, 75 feet from beer-on-tap, and a 7 minute walk to the iconic Drake Park. In the evening there is often live music or DJs just across the alley at the Bunk and Brew (most people love it!). Please be aware it can be noisy in the backyard or bedroom but should be wrapped up by 10pm.

Guest Access

The entire house is accessible to guests, with two exceptions: the garage and the loft. The laundry is in the closet, in the front room.

Good to know

An inviting home with lovely light, attention to detail, character and historic charm.

Other Details to Note

Live music can be heard from the historic Lucas House next door and can vary from acoustic guitar to rock and karaoke. The music should be wrapped up at 10 pm but often goes a bit late. Note that this is an urban setting and comes with urban sounds. It is also close to the parkway (which is actually very convenient!) Wildfire smoke is a significant risk in the mid-summer to late fall in the PNW, especially east of the Cascades. Please note that both Airbnb (and by extension, us as hosts) can not predict or control the weather or the smoke, and neither of these are considered grounds for exceptions to the refund policy. If you want a more flexible cancellation policy due to air quality/smoke, we recommend purchasing travel insurance through Airbnb, which is offered to you during the booking process. If your time in Bend is impacted by smoke, we are happy to help you make the best of it—there are often times of day or parts of the surrounding area that are far less smoky than others. We live here and understand the challenge. Note that dogs are not allowed, including Emotional Support Animals, which are not recognized as service animals in the state of Oregon. If you are bringing a service animal, we would appreciate if you would describe what duties or work it has been trained to perform, and if it is required because of a disability.

This was an awesome stay - we would have rated it more than 5 stars if we could. Ryan and Katie’s place was sparkling clean everywhere which really impressed us. It felt even cleaner than many great vacation rentals we have stayed before. The host also put many thoughtful touches. We were surprised to find charging cables in the living room which is very convenient. Ryan and Katie are very proactive in communications and friendly. The backyard is spacious, clean and nice. The neighborhood is also very walkable and feels comfortable. We would love to come back for another stay in our future visit to Bend.

We had a great stay at Ryan and Katie’s place in Bend! The place was very spacious for two people and had everything we needed. It was super clean and had many amenities — including coffee, toiletries, and laundry. We loved the place and would definitely come back! We could walk everywhere in downtown Bend and loved that the place had parking so we could drive to Mount Bachelor, Smith Rock, and other sites easily within a 30-40 min drive. Our flight arrived early and they let us check in early for a small fee that was definitely worth it to us so we could get settled. Communication was super easy and they were extremely nice hosts!

We had an awesome stay at the property. The location is situated 2 blocks from all of the downtown amenities. The property was very well maintained and comfortable. Everything you could imagine or need for your stay was already available and provided by the hosts. Excellent communications by the hosts before, during and after our stay. I highly recommend this property and the hosts! We look forward to staying there in the future.
