Neighborhood

A highly desirable neighborhood for it's walkable location to the best of Bend! Unique and friendly feel with friendly established residents. This is a quiet neighborhood tucked just far enough to be quiet, but close enough to be extremely walkable. The main corridors of 14th St, NW Galveston, NW Newport, etc. are full of excellent restaurants, grocery options, and more. The homes in this area are generally built in the 70's-80's, and most have been extensively remodeled and are very well kept. This is a highly desirable location due to its proximity to the wonderful outdoor amenities on Bend's west side.

Guest Access

You will have access to the entire home with the exception of a locked off 'bonus room' upstairs (not pictured).

Good to know

You will find an efficient split-level living arrangement with the living area upstairs with open vaulted ceilings and the three cozy bedrooms downstairs. The primary room has a large walk-in closet, ensuite bathroom with separate built-in vanities, heated floors and a lovely large shower.

Ryan and Katie were very responsive and friendly. The place is big and vibey, with excellent decor, and we would definitely stay there again. All 3 bedrooms are downstairs from the split level entry, and upstairs is the big open living area with kitchen and dining table. Nice deck! We had to do a little childproofing for our 1-year-old as the top of the stairway is too wide for a standard baby gate, but that wasn't a big deal.

Ryan & Katie’s place is beautiful, clean, spacious, and cozy. It is in a great location. Ryan & Katie were very responsive and great with communication. We enjoyed our stay and we would stay again.

Such a lovely stay! Loved being nestled in the trees. All the amenities we needed and perfectly located near Newport and downtown. Ryan and Katie were super flexible, friendly, and responsive - would definitely stay again!

Just a fabulous stay! My husband and I stayed a month at Katie and Ryan’s place. Everything was clean. The beds were comfy and linens soft. There were plenty of towels and hot water. The home had a warm and stylish vibe and its location was perfect. We walked downtown, along the Deshutes, to the grocery store and to all the fun on Galveston. Ryan came to tidy the yard and was very helpful and a great communicator. We hope to return again sometime.

My husband and I had the best stay at Ryan and Katie's forest canopy abode after traveling from the East Coast to Oregon for our "babymoon". The home was extremely spacious, cozy, and the location was absolutely perfect. The location is tucked into a quaint neighborhood just minutes from endless cafes, restaurants, and coffee shops as well as hiking. When traveling to the Bend area, this Airbnb is the best of both worlds. It is conveniently located extremely close to everything while still in a quiet and secluded area that has privacy and peace. I highly recommend anyone traveling to the Bend to stay here!

We loved staying at Ryan and Katie's place.  It was super clean and well appointed with tasteful and elegant decor.  The living room and kitchen area are very spacious and a comfortable place to hang out.  The bedrooms are located on the first floor of the house and stayed very cool and comfortable in hot weather.  You can also use the garage for parking, which is a huge bonus, to keep your car cool in hot weather and to use as extra storage space for outdoor equipment. I loved the location. It is a quick walk to a bunch of restaurants and breweries on West Galveston street but far enough away to feel very quiet and secluded amongst mature trees.  The neighborhood is dark at night (no street lights) so be prepared for that with your phone or a small flashlight if walking. Ryan was super responsive and helpful as a host.  The house binder also includes a bunch of great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. I would love to come back again. Joe
