Guest Access

The entire home is available for guest use. Please let us know if you would like to use the flex-space above the garage, which we normally keep locked. The garage is not available for guest use.

Good to know

The focal point of the spacious living room is the welcoming stone fireplace and massive timbers spanning the length of the room. In the spring, summer & fall, the backyard neighboring property is home to extensive wildlife including red wing blackbirds, ducks and geese. There is an office nook upstairs, as well as a kids play room with toys and books. Each downstairs bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, and the upstairs loft has both a king and a full bed. Each bedroom is directly adjacent to a bathroom. Note, there is no door on the loft but it is visually private from the living space. There is a 'traditional' (i.e. not log cabin) flex-space above the garage that can be unlocked for guest use, if requested. While we do not allow guests to sleep in this space, it is a great place for a workout, quiet space for work or separation from the rest of the house, etc. It has a basic desk and chairs, heat and A/C. Please note it does not have a bathroom. Also, the garage is not for guest use. Thank you.

Other Details to Note

Note that this home is in a quiet residential neighborhood, with longtime homeowner families nearby, and we take great care to ensure a harmonious existence of this vacation rental with their established homes. In other words, this is NOT a party house and noisy groups will be noticed. No parties, pets or ESA's (emotional support animals) please. Please note that the lot behind the property is under construction. The legal working hours in Bend are 7:00 AM to 5 PM, though we have observed 8-8:30 is when things get going and they are almost always done and quiet by 4 PM. Wildfire smoke is a significant risk in the mid-summer to late fall in the PNW, especially east of the Cascades. Please note that both Airbnb (and by extension, us as hosts) can not predict or control the weather or the smoke, and neither of these are considered grounds for exceptions to the refund policy. If you want a more flexible cancellation policy due to air quality/smoke, we recommend purchasing travel insurance through Airbnb, which is offered to you during the booking process. If your time in Bend is impacted by smoke, we are happy to help you make the best of it—there are often times of day or parts of the surrounding area that are far less smoky than others. We live here and understand the challenge. We would encourage you to make sure you have a vehicle well-equipped for winter travel. Again, travel insurance is recommended if a major winter snow event might impact your ability to travel to Bend.

We loved staying here. Ryan and Katie were very responsive with our questions and helpful with recommendations. We made use of the EV charger so that was great. House was beautiful and if we are ever in the area again we will definitely look here to stay!

This place is spectacular !! 5 stars all the way !!! Clean ,convenient ,and very comfortable and cozy .As a Director of Construction and Facilities ( 33 years yikes ) I’m the guy that looks around at all the finishes and quality .I also know the challenges of a log home ( built two many many many years ago ) as far as maintence etc .A + here !!!

Great quiet neighborhood and very beautiful cozy spacious cabin. The thoughtful touches for families traveling with kids was very nice, though we didn’t have ours with us on this trip. Baby monitors, sound machines, pack and play, stroller, high chair, if you need it for your baby they had it there! Will stay here again when we are coming back to Bend with our kids!

Bend is heavily car-reliant, though in theory you could easily ride your bike to Neff Place for a meal or a drink. Parking is limited to two cars on the street directly in front of the house, and one car in the driveway. Please do not block the sidewalk or park in front of other homes. Thank you.
