Guest Access

The entire home is available for guest use. Please let us know if you would like to use the flex-space above the garage, which we normally keep locked. The garage is not available for guest use.

Good to know

The focal point of the spacious living room is the welcoming stone fireplace and massive timbers spanning the length of the room. In the spring, summer & fall, the backyard neighboring property is home to extensive wildlife including red wing blackbirds, ducks and geese. There is an office nook upstairs, as well as a kids play room with toys and books. Each downstairs bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, and the upstairs loft has both a king and a full bed. Each bedroom is directly adjacent to a bathroom. Note, there is no door on the loft but it is visually private from the living space. There is a 'traditional' (i.e. not log cabin) flex-space above the garage that can be unlocked for guest use, if requested. While we do not allow guests to sleep in this space, it is a great place for a workout, quiet space for work or separation from the rest of the house, etc. It has a basic desk and chairs, heat and A/C. Please note it does not have a bathroom. Also, the garage is not for guest use. Thank you.

Other Details to Note

Note that this home is in a quiet residential neighborhood, with longtime homeowner families nearby, and we take great care to ensure a harmonious existence of this vacation rental with their established homes. In other words, this is NOT a party house and noisy groups will be noticed. No parties, pets or ESA's (emotional support animals) please. Please note that the lot behind the property is under construction. The legal working hours in Bend are 7:00 AM to 5 PM, though we have observed 8-8:30 is when things get going and they are almost always done and quiet by 4 PM. Wildfire smoke is a significant risk in the mid-summer to late fall in the PNW, especially east of the Cascades. Please note that both Airbnb (and by extension, us as hosts) can not predict or control the weather or the smoke, and neither of these are considered grounds for exceptions to the refund policy. If you want a more flexible cancellation policy due to air quality/smoke, we recommend purchasing travel insurance through Airbnb, which is offered to you during the booking process. If your time in Bend is impacted by smoke, we are happy to help you make the best of it—there are often times of day or parts of the surrounding area that are far less smoky than others. We live here and understand the challenge. We would encourage you to make sure you have a vehicle well-equipped for winter travel. Again, travel insurance is recommended if a major winter snow event might impact your ability to travel to Bend.

Cute place to stay! Came to bend for a work trip so it was great to have a room and bathroom for each person staying. Neighborhood is quite and family friendly. Check in and out process is super simple and communication was thorough.

Great location on a quiet cul-de-sac in a nice neighborhood, the location is on the edge of town but has easy access to everything in Bend but can also bypass town easily in either direction, super simple drive to the airport without having to go through town. Restaurants and other shops very nearby. There was also a nice community park walking distance away. The home was really spacious and well equipped for families. Owners communicated very well and were obviously nearby in case we needed anything.

Everyone in our group loved Ryan & Katie's place. They kept commenting that this place has everything. Best stocked airbnb ever. My group kept thanking me for picking such a wonderful place. Hope to stay there again....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ryan and Katie’s. The house is beautiful and full of charm. It’s comfortable and welcoming with space for everyone and sweet nooks to retreat for some quiet time. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed plus some thoughtful extras. A sweet spot in the city that’s close to everything yet peaceful quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

Bend is heavily car-reliant, though in theory you could easily ride your bike to Neff Place for a meal or a drink. Parking is limited to two cars on the street directly in front of the house, and one car in the driveway. Please do not block the sidewalk or park in front of other homes. Thank you.
