Neighborhood

Rural five+ acre lots with views of Smith Rock and farm properties. Primary residences from mansions to mobile homes and everything in between. Plenty of farms and ranches as well including adorable alpacas and plenty of cattle and horses.

Guest Access

The entire home is available to the guest and is not shared with anyone. The shop (100' up the driveway) is accessed occasionally (during business/working hours) by us or our business partners.

Good to know

You will be welcomed into the bright living room with a cozy fireplace that flows into the back patio with views that might take your breath away a little. The view extends into the primary bedroom. The property includes five acres of rural land that you are welcome to explore. Note that there is a detached shop about 140' from the house that is accessed by our business partner.

Other Details to Note

Please note the well-water is very hard. While the minerals are great for your bones, it does have a very subtle salty taste and is slightly whitish colored. It has been tested and is verified clean and healthy. Also, importantly, we require guests who use the steam-shower (sauna) to squeegee the glass after use, otherwise the mineral buildup is very difficult to remove. Note that dogs are not allowed, including Emotional Support Animals, which are not recognized as service animals in the state of Oregon. If you are bringing a service animal, we would appreciate if you would describe what duties or work it has been trained to perform, and if it is required because of a disability. Wildfire smoke is a significant risk in the mid-summer to late fall in the PNW, especially east of the Cascades. Please note that both Airbnb (and by extension, us as hosts) can not predict or control the weather or the smoke, and neither of these are considered grounds for exceptions to the refund policy. If you want a more flexible cancellation policy due to air quality/smoke, we recommend purchasing travel insurance through Airbnb, which is offered to you during the booking process. If your time in Bend is impacted by smoke, we are happy to help you make the best of it—there are often times of day or parts of the surrounding area that are far less smoky than others. We live here and understand the challenge.

We were delighted by the clean, beautiful accommodations. The kitchen had everything we needed and the view out the back was beautiful and peaceful. We saw several hummingbirds feeding at the flowers on the back porch area. We highly recommend staying here.

We didn’t want to leave! The king beds were so comfortable, the sunrise views were incredible, and the steam shower was perfectly relaxing. The hosts thought of everything even a pack and play that gave our little one her own space. Attentive from start to finish, and honestly, there’s not much we’d change about this place. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing stay—upscale feel just mins from Smith Rock. Perfect for getting out early to climb, and for cooling off afterward with unfettered views. Everything was exactly as described. Super clean and private. 100% would stay again next time we come out to climb. Thank you for such a great experience, Ryan!

We could only stay one night as the Terrebonne house was fully booked but we got to stay one perfect day. We saw the sun set on Smith Rock after climbing it, enjoyed a home cooked meal, a hot shower with beautiful quality toiletries, and slept in a super comfy bed. The place was set up to feel immediately like home and there was not one thing that needed improving. The recommendations were also spot on.

An absolutely gorgeous stay. The house is cozy, the view is divine, and it's super convenient to the state park and Redmond/Bend. Ryan was very communicative and friendly, and you can tell he has a genuine love for the area. Definitely recommend!

Our second time here - this time for a special birthday. If you have been here before, it's hard to not come back (we will be back again without a doubt!). The views are better than what the photos show. It is so relaxing inside and outside the property. Location is great - Smith Rock is only a few minutes away. We even did an early morning jog to Smith Rock and back (5.0 miles roundtrip) and didn't have to worry about cars or traffic. I am not a big runner, but the amazing views made this jog fun. Redmond is a quick jaunt down the road, and Bend isn't much further. Everything in the description and the photos are exactly what you will experience, except so much better in person. This place is truly a magical gem and our favorite Airbnb!
